At Get In Gear, we're proud to partner with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation's Driver Education Grant Program — a state supported initiative designed to make professional driver education accessible to everyone. We accept grant coupons, so your training may be covered at little to no cost to you.

Who's Eligible?

Wisconsin resident ages 14 1/2-19 and actively seeking a driver's license

You meet the income requirements set by the state program

You have not previously received a Driver Training Grant

How to Apply
Applications for the Wisconsin Driver Education Grant open periodically throughout the year. Families must apply directly through the Wisconsin DOT.

Receive Your Code
Once approved, you'll receive two unique grant codes which you will use during the registration process.

Register with Us
When booking your lessons, simply enter your grant coupon codes at checkout and we will redeem it with the State.

Schedule Lessons
You’ll receive access to the DriveTrak student portal where you can schedule and manage your behind-the-wheel lessons. Students should upload their permit number and issue date once available so scheduling can begin.
